Hongik University Degree Show 2008

Hongik University held its tenth annual Degree Show late last year at the university's Modern Gallery in Seoul, Korea. With a focus on creating the next generation of sedans for the graduating students' favorite brands, luxury sedans were developed using various design procedures. The students produced sketches, a 1/10 half-mirror clay model, a 3D model with scanned modeling data in Alias, and created the proposals using a CNC machine.

ZAP electric car

California-based ZAP has completed the initial concept phase for a new electric vehicle claimed to hit a top speed in excess of 100 mph with a range of 100 miles per charge.  "With ZAP's experience over the past 12 years and the groundwork we have already laid, we know that electricity is the future of the auto industry," said ZAP CEO Steve Schneider.  "At the same time, we believe we have a design that will serve a niche no other manufacturer in the auto industry is seeking to fill." British Honda engineers get green light from Japan

Honda UK’s small UK vehicle engineering centre is all set to grow in size and importance following approval from Japanese bosses. The British car development base supports Honda’s main European development centre in Frankfurt but has been taking on increasing responsibility in recent years.
